IT Support Engineer: Microsoft Exchange

(Menlo Park)

 

CGNET is looking for a motivated, technically oriented person to work on a contract basis assisting in the migration of users from Exchange 2003 and 2007 to Exchange 2010.

CGNET’s growing business involves providing global IT support to clients in 100 countries.  Our clients are foundations, UN agencies, conservation and relief organizations, as well as other social benefit organizations. CGNET is a privately held, profitable company with its headquarters in Menlo Park, California, and people on the ground on four continents. We operate a state-of-the-art data center and NOC in Menlo Park. From the NOC we monitor and maintain networks and systems around the world.

About the position:

We currently have openings for contract engineers to work between 20 and 50 hours per week until the project’s conclusion in 3 to 6 months. Some night and weekend work is desirable.  Pay depends on experience, but the general range is $35 - $85 per hour. 

Requirements:

             Knowledge of Windows Exchange Server 2010/2007/2003, Windows Server 2003 & 2008, and Active Directory,

             Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 including configuring the Outlook client

             Operation of computer equipment, networked systems, related to peripherals and software applicable

             Must be available "on call" by phone or in person to troubleshoot critical system problems when needed, day or night, weekends and holidays.

Support Engineer requirements include:

             HS diploma and some college or advanced training

             Familiarity with MS Office, Word, Excel,

             Strong telephone skills in English, with an additional language preferred.

             Solid customer service skills, detail-oriented, responsible, and dependable.

             Strong self-motivation, willingness to follow instructions,

Customer Support Specialist, Network Operations Center
CGNET is looking for a motivated, technically oriented person to join its operations group as a part-time Customer Support Specialist. CGNET’s growing business involves providing global IT support to clients in 100 countries, as well as back-office support to our sales force.  Our clients are foundations, UN agencies, conservation and relief organizations, as well as other social benefit organizations.
CGNET is a privately held, profitable company with its headquarters in Menlo Park, California, and people on the ground on four continents. We operate a state-of-the-art data center and NOC in Menlo Park.  From the NOC we monitor and maintain networks and systems around the world.
About the position:
We currently have openings for a part-time graveyard shift position. This position will include weekdays, weekends and Holidays. There are no “weekend only” positions. Pay is depending on experience, but the general range is $14 - $18 per hour.
 Customer Support Specialist responsibilities may include:
          Monitoring the status of our clients’ networks and servers.
          Telephone and email customer support.
          Interacting with service providers regarding problems and outages.
          Working with and escalating problems to NOC Engineers.
          Projects to improve customer support, in-house monitoring and client database systems.
          Projects to assist the sales function, including prospect generation, address updates, and sales-related mailings.
          Administrative duties such as scanning documents, sorting mail, greeting delivery people
          Website maintenance and a chance to contribute to blog & Twitter updates
          Helping with general duties in the datacenter, such as backups, Workstation provisioning and upgrades for CGNET staff.
 
Customer Support Specialist requirements include:
          HS diploma and some college or advanced training
          Familiarity with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
          Familiarity with PC hardware.
          A definite team ethic and willingness to step up and cover colleagues’ shifts during emergencies.
          Strong telephone skills in English, with an additional language preferred.
          Solid customer service skills, detail-oriented, responsible, and dependable.
          Strong self-motivation, willingness to follow instructions, and good communications skills.
